Seems that cable news networks are finally realizing that SOPA and PIPA don't benefit them as much as they thought.
We've noted in the past that while the serious concerns about SOPA and PROTECT IP (PIPA) have been all over the web and newspapers, they've mostly been mostly been absent from cable news... companies that are owned by the biggest supporters of these bills (the one "exception" was Colbert). But can cable news really continue to ignore the story while so many people are speaking out about it?
There lies the problem: cable news networks are ignoring the story, not because it's not news or worthy of being reported on but because they thought they could bury it because there was a perceived notion among industry insiders that it didn't benefit them. Let that be a lesson to you the next time you think mainstream media does unbiased news reporting in the public interest.
